Learning, feeding, walking, playing in the mud and taking a bath with these gentle giants is an incredible and unforgettable experience.
Karen hill tribe has a long relationship with elephants. This relationship has passed on from generation to generation as there is a elephant blessing ritual every year. In the past, elephants are trained for transportation, logging, irrigation, building houses. After the ban of logging in Thailand, elephants and their mahouts turned to tourism. Elephants were to give rides in the past, however, because of elephant conservation and campaign against riding elephants, that has stopped. We would like to invite you to come and spend time with karen mahout to learn how they raise their elephants as a part of their family.

Morning Program 7.30 – 11.00
Afternoon Program 12.30 – 16.30
– Pick up at your hotel. A journey to elephant sanctuary takes approximately 1 hour.
– Start activities; get change to mahout outfit.
– After changing clothes, You will get a chance to feed and interact with them.
– Enjoy bathing and massaging elephant.
– Finish activities and Return to your hotel

Afternoon Program 11.30 – 16.30
– Pick up at your hotel. A journey to elephant sanctuary takes approximately 1 hour.
– Start activities; get change to mahout outfit. There will be provided snacks and drinks for you.
– After changing clothes, mahout will give you a basic instruction on how to take care of elephants.
– You will get a chance to feed and interact with them.
– Walk and spend time with elephants around 10 minutes.
– Learn how to make herbal compress for elephants.
– Mud spa with elephants.
– Enjoy bathing and massaging elephant with herbal compress.
– Finish activities and get change.
– Lunch*
